Distractions aren’t a joke

Melbourne International Comedy Festival is proud to join forces with the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) to help Melburnians #walkwithcare this Festival.

When you’re out and about this Festival, walking between venues and commuting to and from shows, make sure you Stop, Look, Listen and Think. And remember, when it comes to safety on the road for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers, it's important to share the responsibility of keeping each other safe.

As the Safety Squad always says –  be safe out there folks, so you don’t miss the jokes!

Safety Squad Episode 24: Shared Responsibility
Safety Squad Episode 702: Crossing Safely

Have you spotted our Walking Legs outside Melbourne Town Hall? Make sure you stay alert while walking around town this Festival - always use crossings and keep an eye out for hazards! Distractions aren’t a joke. Walk with care.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
