Melbourne Fringe 2022

Melbourne Fringe is celebrating its 40th birthday, and we couldn’t be more excited to share in the celebration of art, comedy, music and more!

Returning for their first in-person festival in three years, the Melbourne Fringe program is jam-packed with over 450 shows, including more than one hundred comedy events to keep you laughing through October.

Golden Gibbo winner Alex Hines returns as her doppelganger in the award winning To Schappelle and Back, with fellow Golden Gibbo nominees Ross Purdy – Hey Hey It’s Doomsday­ and Ashley Apap – Ouch! bringing back their Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows. Peek into the anxious brain of an aggressively optimistic dyslexic queer nightmare with the 2022 Best Newcomer Award winner Frankie McNair and their hilarious show, Relax Your Knees. After making their debut at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival earlier this year, fellow Best Newcomer nominee Sunanda Sachatrakul will perform their hit sold-out show, Sunanda Loves Britney.
