The best spot for drop off and pick-ups is either on Collins Street or Little Collins Street.
Entry to the venue is from Swanston Street via the Capitol Arcade and up approx. 20 stairs with handrails on either side into the venue foyer. The venue seating is raked, so there is additional steps to allocated seat.

Enter The Capitol Arcade from Swanston Street.

You will find a lift approx. 30m into the arcade (between the jeweller and the dry cleaner).

Exit the lift at RMIT Capitol Theatre’s Foyer level.

From the Foyer, a separate lift provides access to the Theatre, Salon and Lounge levels inside the RMIT Capitol Theatre.

Accessible seating is located mid theatre (Salon Level) or at the front of the theatre (Foyer Level)

Hearing Loop
There are two types of assisted listening available at RMIT Capitol Theatre:

Hearing loop where patrons can tune their own hearing aid device to hear amplified sound.

Venue provided assiststed listening device with a receiver and headphones to hear amplified sound

Bathrooms
There are bathrooms available on both the foyer level and the upper Salon and Lounge levels.
There is a gender-neutral accessible bathroom on the foyer level.

There is a bar in the main foyer of RMIT Capitol Theatre, accessible via the main staircase or the lift from the Capitol Arcade.
