Taylor Griffiths

Sublime Avenue

  • Australia

Nominee Best Comedy 2023 Melbourne Fringe

Peer over the back fence at the people living on Sublime Avenue – this eerily familiar street encapsulates the suburban Australian experience and dishes it to you in a way that feels like you’ve lived here for years.

Sublime Avenue is an hilarious and profoundly relatable one woman sketch show full of nostalgia, vulnerability and lofty characters written and performed by Taylor Griffiths. Exploring the lives of its characters through a romantic lens, Sublime Avenue presents to you the locals you know all too well and some that you avoid sharing eye contact with. Woven amongst the sketches are stories and poems that explore what life could be like, if only one could find contentment in the simple and mundane.

If you love iconic character comedy shows like Kath and Kim, Stath Lets Flats or This Country then you will love this.

Taylor is a comedic force of nature who brings warmth, joy and unparalleled character work to the stage. She has a unique ability to find humor in life's overlooked moments and her talent for crafting lovable, vulnerable characters makes her shows an absolute must-see.

Taylor was nominated for Best Comedy at Melbourne Fringe 2023 for her sketch show Latchkey in collaboration with Matt Jenner and her critically acclaimed solo show No Thoughts was performed at the iconic Malthouse Theatre to hundreds.

You can catch her performing weekly as a part of the cast of Something Good at Comedy Republic or the Remix and Big Show at The Improv Conspiracy Theatre in Melbourne.
