Mel & Sam

No Hat, No Play! The Cabaret

  • Australia

Winner Critic’s Choice Award 2024 Perth FRINGE WORLD

Winner Best Original Songs 2023 Green Room Awards

Winner Best Cabaret Weekly Award 2022 Adelaide Fringe

Nominee Golden Gibbo 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Wipe down your recorder, kick the tanbark out of your shoes, throw that Megasaurus scrapbook to the wind and join queer musical comedy darlings Mel & Sam as they take you back to 2006 at Rockdale Primary School, for a long-awaited return season of their infamous, jam-packed, Glad Wrapped® primary school fever-dream cabaret from heaven (and hell)… the show that started it all!

No Hat, No Play! is a nostalgic deep dive comedy hour, packed to the brim with original songs, outrageous sketches and unbridled energy, from renowned chaos cabaret duo Mel & Sam

Featuring an all-original soundtrack with songs including ‘I Love You, James.L’, ‘Dob on Me’, ‘Why’d You Steal My Juicebox?’, ‘I Am A Horse’ and many many more, No Hat, No Play! is a soft dodgeball to the head. But in a good way.

So cross your heart, hope to die and stick a Sunnyboy in your eye, 'cos "This is your own lunchtime you're wasting!".

Welcome to Year 6.
