Carmelo Costa
Homecoming
Moving back in with your parents in your 30s doesn’t have to be a shameful and embarrassing experience, it can also be super degrading! Since his sold-out debut solo show Sloppy Toppy, a few things have changed for Carmelo. Well one main thing. Join Carmelo as he returns to Melbourne International Comedy Festival with an hour of gay, sardonic stand-up, diving into family dynamics, rental horrors of the past, sex, relationships and mental health. Let’s just say the Grindr grid looks a little different in the suburbs.
Carmelo is a mainstay in the Melbourne comedy circuit, recognised for his sharp, snarky and risqué material. Now in his fourth year at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, he follows sold-out runs of Belligerent, Gay Horseplay and his 2024 debut solo show, Sloppy Toppy.
